All systems were restored or rebuilt to concourse condition with many NOS and original parts used. Out of 23,562 Corvettes produced for the 1965 model year, only 1,191 were delivered in Tuxedo Black (only 5% of total production), and only 771 (or 3% of total production) were fitted with the L84 fuel injection Engine Option, making this a rare Corvette indeed.
